The Book of Fett Premiere Date and Key Art Revealed

Disney+ today announced The Book of Boba Fett premiere date and debuted the new key art, which you can view in full by scrolling down. The new Lucasfilm series was teased in a surprise end-credit sequence following the Season 2 finale of The Mandalorian.

The streaming service has set The Book of Boba Fett premiere date for Wednesday, December 29, 2021.

The Book of Boba Fett, a thrilling Star Wars adventure, finds legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett and mercenary Fennec Shand navigating the Galaxy’s underworld when they return to the sands of Tatooine to stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate.

The series stars Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen. Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Robert Rodriguez, Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson are the executive producers.

Karen Gilchrist and Carrie Beck serve as co-executive producers, with John Bartnicki producing and John Hampian as co-producer.

Boba Fett made his big-screen debut in 1980’s Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, becoming an instant fan favorite thanks to his visually arresting armor and cool demeanor.

Jeremy Bulloch, the original actor inside the armor, passed away in December of 2020 – but his legacy, including all he brought to Boba Fett, goes on. The Book of Boba Fett will carry that legacy forward.

From the triumphant return of Boba Fett to the live-action debut of fan-favorite Ahsoka Tano, the second season of The Mandalorian is a fun, surprising, emotional thrill-ride which has kept fans excited to see how each new weekly chapter will unfold.

The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal (Narcos) in the title role as a lone Mandalorian gunfighter, alongside Gina Carano (Deadpool), Carl Weathers (Predator), and Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad).

In the second season, The Mandalorian and the Child continue their journey, facing enemies and rallying allies as they make their way through a dangerous galaxy in the tumultuous era after the collapse of the Galactic Empire.

Showrunner Jon Favreau serves as executive producer along with Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone WarsStar Wars Rebels), Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson, with Karen Gilchrist and Carrie Beck serving as co- executive producers.

Directors for The Mandalorian Season 2 include Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Bryce Dallas Howard, Rick Famuyiwa, Carl Weathers, Peyton Reed and Robert Rodriguez. The writers are Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni and Rick Famuyiwa.

Among the other projects announced for Disney+ are Obi-Wan Kenobi, starring Ewan McGregor with Hayden Christensen returning as Darth Vader, and two series set in The Mandalorian era from Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni: Rangers of the New Republic and Ahsoka, a series featuring the fan favorite character Ahsoka Tano.

Additional new titles announced for Disney+ include Andor, Star Wars: The Bad Batch, Star Wars: Visions, Lando, The Acolyte, and A Droid Story.
