The Batman, Black Adam, The Flash and Aquaman 2 Previewed in Spot!

THE BATMAN

Opening in theaters on March 4, the highly-anticipated The Batman is directed by Matt Reeves and stars in the dual role of Gotham City’s vigilante detective and his alter ego, reclusive billionaire Bruce Wayne. More than a year of stalking the streets as the Batman (Pattinson), striking fear into the hearts of criminals, has led Bruce Wayne deep into the shadows of Gotham City.

With only a few trusted allies — Alfred (Andy Serkis), Lt. James Gordon (Jeffrey Wright) — amongst the city’s corrupt network of officials and high-profile figures, the lone vigilante has established himself as the sole embodiment of vengeance amongst his fellow citizens.

When a killer targets Gotham’s elite with a series of sadistic machinations, a trail of cryptic clues sends the World’s Greatest Detective on an investigation into the underworld, where he encounters such characters as Selina Kyle (Zoë Kravitz), Oz, aka The Penguin (Colin Farrell), Carmine Falcone (John Turturro), and Edward Nashton/aka The Riddler (Paul Dano).

As the evidence begins to lead closer to home and the scale of the perpetrator’s plans becomes clear, Batman must forge new relationships, unmask the culprit, and bring justice to the abuse of power and corruption that has long plagued Gotham City.

Also starring alongside Pattinson (Tenet, The Lighthouse) as Gotham’s famous and infamous cast of characters are Peter Sarsgaard (The Magnificent Seven, Interrogation) as Gotham D.A. Gil Colson and Jayme Lawson (Farewell Amor) as mayoral candidate Bella Reál.

Reeves (the Planet of the Apes franchise) directed from a screenplay by Reeves & Peter Craig, based on characters from DC. Batman was created by Bob Kane with Bill Finger. Dylan Clark (the Planet of the Apes films) and Reeves produced the film, with Michael E. Uslan, Walter Hamada, Chantal Nong Vo, and Simon Emanuel serving as executive producers.

BLACK ADAM

The video gives you a first look at the Justice Society (Hawkman, Cyclone, Atom Smasher and Dr. Fate) in Black Adam, which is opening in theaters on July 29. The film is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, who reteams with Dwayne Johnson after helming Jungle Cruise.

The script was written by Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani. Adam Sztykiel wrote an earlier draft.

In addition to Dwayne Johnson, the cast includes Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, and Pierce Brosnan as Kent Nelson, aka Doctor Fate, a founding member of the Justice Society of America.

Sarah Shahi and Marwan Kenzari also star in the film. While Kenzari’s character is unknown, Shahi plays a university professor and freedom fighter leading the resistance in Kahndaq.

Beau Flynn of FlynnPictureCo produces along with Johnson, Dany Garcia, and Hiram Garcia of Seven Bucks Productions. Scott Sheldon oversees for FlynnPicturesCo.

The film is based on the DC Comics character created by Otto Binder and C.C. Beck.

THE FLASH

Ezra Miller returns as Barry Allen/The Flash, the character he previously played in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League (and the upcoming Zack Snyder’s Justice League).

It was previously announced that Ben Affleck’s Batman and Michael Keaton’s Batman will both return for The Flash as well. While Affleck’s Batman will probably show up in more of a cameo, Keaton’s Batman is set to be more of a substantial part of the movie.

The Young and the Restless star Sasha Calle will play the role of Supergirl. The Supergirl character was played by Helen Slater in the 1984 Warner Bros. Pictures movie, and Melissa Benoist plays the role in The CW series Supergirl.

Andy Muschietti (IT films) is directing The Flash, which was produced by Barbara Muschietti and Michael Disco. Bumblebee and Birds of Prey writer Christina Hodson wrote the script.

The movie will feature fast-moving hyper-hero Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) breaking the bonds of physics to crash into various parallel dimensions, where he’ll encounter slightly different versions of DC’s classic heroes.

The film is scheduled to be released on November 4.

AQUAMAN 2

Directed by James Wan, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is scheduled to be released in theaters by Warner Bros. Pictures on December 16.

Starring Jason Momoa as the title character, Aquaman was released in December 2019 and grossed a massive $1.148 billion worldwide.

Aquaman 2

Aquaman is the origin story of half-surface dweller, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry that takes him on the journey of his lifetime — one that will not only force him to face who he really is, but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be… a king.

Returning for Aquaman 2 are Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Temuera Morrison.
