Tenet Photos Released by Warner Bros. Ahead of the Trailer

With the trailer expected to come online tomorrow, Warner Bros. Pictures has released the first Tenet photos (via EW). You can view the Tenet photos in the gallery below!

While not revealing much about the plot, director Christopher Nolan talked to the digital magazine about the anticipated movie. “We’re jumping off from the point of view of an espionage film, but we’re going to a number of different places. We’re crossing a few different genres in a hopefully exciting and fresh way. [Producer] Emma [Thomas] and I have put together a lot of large-scale productions, but this is certainly the biggest in terms of international reach. We shot in seven countries, all over the place, with a massive cast and huge set pieces. There’s no question, it’s the most ambitious film we’ve made.”

He added that BlacKkKlansman actor John David Washington is very much the hero of the film. “He’s a massively talented actor and physically gifted. He’s an athlete and pretty hard for anybody to keep up with, including the different vehicles we shot him from — cars and helicopters. [Laughs] This guy moves.”

Opening in theaters on July 17, 2020, Tenet also stars Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Clémence Poésy, Himesh Patel, with Michael Caine and Kenneth Branagh. Tenet is an action epic evolving from the world of international espionage.

Nolan is directing from his own original screenplay, utilizing a mixture of IMAX and 70mm film to bring the story to the screen. Nolan’s behind-the-scenes creative team includes director of photography Hoyte van Hoytema, production designer Nathan Crowley, editor Jennifer Lame, costume designer Jeffrey Kurland, and visual effects supervisor Andrew Jackson. The score is being composed by Ludwig Göransson.

Christopher Nolan’s last movie, Dunkirk, was released in theaters on July 21, 2017. The movie, written, directed, and produced by Nolan, was shot on IMAX 65 mm and 65 mm large-format film stock. It grossed nearly $527 million worldwide.

A teaser for Tenet hit theaters with Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw back in August, but Warner Bros. Pictures never officially released the video online.
