Ted Lasso Season 2 Release Date and Teaser Revealed

Kindness is making a comeback! During today’s Apple Event, the company announced that the Ted Lasso Season 2 release date has been set for July 23, 2021.

Following its breakout first season and early second season renewal, Apple TV+ gave the green light to the third season of Ted Lasso last October. has given the green light to Ted Lasso Season 3.

Ted Lasso Season 2 Release Date and Teaser Revealed

The first season, which premiered on the streaming service on August 14, 2020, is now available for viewers to binge. The second season began production in London in early January.

Ted Lasso stars Jason Sudeikis as Ted Lasso, a small-time college football coach from Kansas who is hired to coach a professional soccer team in England despite having no experience coaching soccer.

The series also stars Hannah Waddingham, Brendan Hunt, Jeremy Swift, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Phil Dunster and Nick Mohammed.

In addition to starring, Sudeikis serves as executive producer, alongside Bill Lawrence (Scrubs) via his Doozer Productions, in association with Warner Bros. Television and Universal Television, a division of NBCUniversal Content.

Doozer’s Jeff Ingold also serves as an executive producer with Liza Katzer as co-executive producer. The series was developed by Sudeikis, Lawrence, Joe Kelly and Brendan Hunt, and is based on the pre-existing format and characters from NBC Sports.

Apple TV+ this week also announced a series order for Now and Then, a new drama series that will be shot in Spanish and English from Bambú Producciones.

The show comes from creators Ramón Campos, Teresa Fernández-Valdés and Gema R. Neira, the same team behind Velvet, Cable Girls and Grand Hotel. Gideon Raff (The Spy, Homeland) will executive produce and direct the first two episodes.

Set in Miami with an all-Hispanic cast, Now and Then is a multi-layered thriller that explores the differences between youthful aspirations and the reality of adulthood, when the lives of a group of college best friends are forever changed after a celebratory weekend ends up with one of them dead.

Now, 20 years later, the remaining five are reluctantly reunited by a threat that puts their seemingly perfect worlds at risk.

Campos and Fernández-Valdés will serve as showrunners, and the series will be written by Neira and Campos with their team.

Bambú Producciones will produce the series for Apple TV+.
