Netflix has released a brand-new trailer and key art for the upcoming film Tall Girl 2. You can check out the art by scrolling down and watch the trailer for Tall Girl 2 on YouTube.
The film, about a young woman who is taller than her classmates and dealing with newfound popularity, is directed by Emily Ting. It was written by Sam Wolfson.
Here is the official synopsis for Tall Girl 2. “After her inspiring speech at the homecoming dance, Jodi (Ava Michelle) is no longer just the “tall girl” – she’s popular, confident, has a boyfriend, and just booked the lead role in this year’s school musical.
“But as the pressure of her newfound popularity intensifies, so do her insecurities, and new relationships are formed while old ones are tested. As the world she built starts to crumble around her, Jodi realizes that standing tall was only just the beginning.”
Tall Girl 2 was produced by McG, Mary Viola, and Cory Marsh.
The cast for the film includes Ava Michelle, Griffin Gluck, Sabrina Carpenter, Anjelika Washington, Luke Eisner, Clara Wilsey, Rico Paris, Jan Luis Castellanos, Johanna Liauw, Chris Wlyde with Angela Kinsey and Steve Zahn.
In the first film, Jodi (Michelle) has always been the tallest girl in school – and she’s always been uncomfortable with it.
After slouching her way through life for 16 years and being made fun of by classmates, Jodi meets Stig (Eisner), a seemingly perfect Swedish foreign exchange student who’s even taller than she is.
Jodi’s new crush turns her world upside down and throws her into a surprising love triangle, but with the help of her two best friends (Gluck, Washington) as well as her beauty queen sister Harper (Carpenter), Jodi comes to realize that she’s far more than her insecurities about her appearance have led her to believe.
Tall Girl, director Nzingha Stewart’s first feature film, is a heartfelt and hilarious coming-of-age story about finding the confidence to stop slouching and stand tall.
