Following the earlier trailers this week, Netflix has now also given first looks at Sweet Girl, Love Is Blind: After the Altar, Kingdom: Ashin of the North, Resort to Love, and The Swarm.

Sweet Girl, Love Is Blind, Kingdom & Resort to Love Netflix Trailers Debut

SWEET GIRL

We’ll kick things off with Sweet Girl, the action thriller coming to the streaming service on August 20, 2021. The film is directed by Brian Andrew Mendoza from a script by Gregg Hurwitz and Philip Eisner.

Sweet Girl stars Jason Momoa, Isabela Merced, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Adria Arjona, Raza Jaffrey, Justin Bartha, Lex Scott Davis, Michael Raymond-James and Amy Brenneman.

Devoted family man Ray Cooper, vows justice against the pharmaceutical company responsible for pulling a potentially life saving drug from the market just before his wife (Arjona) dies from cancer. But when his search for the truth leads to a deadly encounter that puts Ray and his daughter Rachel (Merced) in harm’s way, Ray’s mission turns into a quest for vengeance in order to protect the only family he has left.

LOVE IS BLIND: AFTER THE ALTER

Love Is Blind: After the Altar will debut on Wednesday, July 28. The Love Is Blind Season 1 cast is back for an anniversary party you won’t want to miss.

For three episodes, catch up with your favorite couples and singles as they settle back into their daily lives in Atlanta.

KINGDOM: ASHIN OF THE NORTH

Coming to Netflix on July 23, Kingdom: Ashin of the North is a special episode from the creators of Kingdom.

The bonus episode tells an untold backstory featuring Gianna Jun (My Love From Another Star). Tragedy, betrayal and a mysterious discovery fuel a woman’s vengeance for the loss of her tribe and family.

Ashin and her father are part of a foreign tribe that has settled within the Kingdom of Joseon.

Their encounter with a mysterious disease sets Ashin down a path of betrayal, prejudice, and revenge.

RESORT TO LOVE

Resort to Love is coming to the streaming service on July 29. Directed by Steven Tsuchida, the film was written by Tabi McCartney and Dana Schmalenberg. The producers include Alicia Keys, Maggie Malina, and Jeremy Kipp Walker.

The movie stars Christina Milian, Jay Pharoah, Sinqua Walls, Christiani Pitts, Karen Obilom, with Jeryl Prescott Gallien, and Tymberlee Hill, Alexander Hodge, TJ Power, Sylvaine Strike, and Kayne Lee Harrison.

Resort to Love

Resort to Love is a romantic comedy about aspiring pop star Erica (Christina Milian) who ends up as the entertainment at her ex-fiancé’s wedding after reluctantly taking a gig at a luxurious Mauritius island resort while in the wake of a music career meltdown.

She tries to keep their past relationship a secret from his bride-to-be Beverly (Christiani Pitts), but Erica rediscovers her feelings for her ex, Jason (Jay Pharoah), despite his brother Caleb’s (Sinqua Walls) attempts to keep them from falling back in love. In this warm and funny romantic story that explores the bonds of love and family, the question soon becomes will Erica sing at Beverly’s wedding – or her own?

THE SWARM

Virginie lives on a farm with her children Laura (15) and Gaston (7) and raises locusts as a high-protein crop. Life is hard: money worries and practical problems are piling up, tensions with her kids and neighbors are running high. But everything changes when she discovers the locusts have a taste for blood.

The Swarm will be available on Netflix August 6.
