Starz has announced the lineup of movie and TV titles that will be available on the streaming service in November. The Starz November 2022 schedule includes Dangerous Liaisons, new episodes of Step Up 3, The BMF Documentary, and Black Friday.
Dangerous Liaisons, featuring the iconic literary lovers the Marquise de Merteuil (Alice Englert) and the Vicomte de Valmont (Nicholas Denton), premieres Sunday, November 6 at midnight on the Starz app, all Starz streaming and on-demand platforms and internationally on Lionsgate+ premium streaming platform across its complete footprint in Europe, Latin America and Japan.
On linear, the series will debut on Starz at 8:00 PM ET/PT in the U.S. and Canada. Dangerous Liaisons is a bold prelude to Laclos’ classic 18th-century novel, focusing on the origin story of how his iconic characters, the Marquise de Merteuil, and the Vicomte de Valmont, met as passionate young lovers in Paris on the eve of the revolution.
This modern take on a classic story takes audiences through wonder and terror, beauty and degradation, seduction and deception in pre-revolutionary Paris. Driven to right the wrongs of their past, the young couple’s survival depends on their skills of seduction and manipulation of not only the French nobility but of each other.
Englert and Denton portray the notorious lovers: Camille, who is taken in by the current Marquise de Merteuil (played by Lesley Manville) and navigates her own path in a world of men, using the power of secrets to take back control, and Valmont, who will stop at nothing to regain his title that was recently taken from him. Their on-again, off-again love story is the heart of the series. It’s not love… it’s war.
The Starz November 2022 lineup also includes new episodes of Step Up 3, starring Ne-Yo and Christina Milian. The half-hour episodic documentary series is about the infamous Black Mafia Family, as told by former members, insiders, associates, and celebrity figures close to the family. From Detroit corner boys to notorious drug kingpins and hip hop kingmakers, the docuseries charts the meteoric rise and fall of BMF founders: Demetrius “Big Meech” and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory, two brothers who built one of the largest cocaine empires in American history.
The fabled story spans four decades across five major U.S. cities, immersing viewers in a network of crisscrossing relationships between crime, hip-hop, and law enforcement. The series affords viewers exclusive access inside all the epic family feuds, high-stakes drug deals, suspicious murders, and champagne-drenched parties attended by hip-hop royalty.
Black Friday premieres on the Starz app on November 1. On Thanksgiving night, disgruntled toy store employees begrudgingly arrive for work to open the store at midnight for the busiest shopping day of the year. Meanwhile, an alien parasite crashes to Earth in a meteor.
This group of misfits, led by store manager Jonathan and longtime employee Ken, soon finds itself battling hordes of holiday shoppers who have been transformed into monstrous creatures hellbent on a murderous rampage on Black Friday.
