Spike Lee’s Da 5 Bloods Cast Announced by Netflix

Netflix has announced the full Da 5 Bloods cast! From Academy Award winner director Spike Lee (BlacKkKlansman) comes a new joint: the story of four African American vets who return to Vietnam. Searching for the remains of their fallen squad leader (Chadwick Boseman) and the promise of buried treasure, our heroes battle forces of man and nature – while confronted by the lasting ravages of the immorality of the Vietnam War.

The Da 5 Bloods cast also includes Clarke Peters, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Norm Lewis, Mélanie Thierry and Jasper Pääkkönen. They will join the previously-announced Delroy Lindo, Jonathan Majors, Paul Walter Hauser, Jean Reno, and Boseman.

The screenwriters include Danny Bilson, Paul DeMeo, Matt Billingsly, Kevin Willmott, and Spike Lee. The producers are Lloyd Levin (Hellboy), Beatriz Levin, Jon Kilik (The Hunger Games franchise), and Spike Lee. The cinematographer is BAFTA nominee Newton Thomas Sigel (Bohemian Rhapsody, Drive).

Da 5 Bloods marks Netflix’s fourth collaboration with Lee. He previously wrote and directed She’s Gotta Have It, which is currently in post-production on its second season; and directed Roger Guenveur Smith’s one man show Rodney King for Netflix. Lee is also in post-production on the time-travel feature film See You Yesterday, which he is producing for Netflix.
