Sony Pictures Animation shared new details on Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse today at the San Diego Comic-Con. The Spider-Verse takes place in an alternate dimension to ours, the filmmakers said. And more than one Spidey wears the mask. The studio confirmed that the Into the Spider-Verse characters include Spider-Man Noir, who is voiced by Nicolas Cage, SP//dr, aka Peni Parker, voiced by Kimiko Glenn, and Spider-Ham is voiced by John Mulaney!
Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the creative minds behind The LEGO Movie and 21 Jump Street, bring their unique talents to a fresh vision of a different Spider-Man Universe, with a groundbreaking visual style that’s the first of its kind. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse introduces Brooklyn teen Miles Morales, and the limitless possibilities of the Spider-Verse, where more than one can wear the mask.
Directed by Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey, and Rodney Rothman, the film’s voice cast includes Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Mahershala Ali, Jake Johnson, Liev Schreiber, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Velez, and Lily Tomlin.
