Sons of Anarchy star Ryan Hurst has joined the cast of The Walking Dead Season 9, according to TheWrap. He will appear as a recurring guest in the role of Beta, who is second in command to Samantha Morton’s Alpha, the leader of The Whisperers.
Also new to the cast for Season 9 are Cassady McClincy as Alpha’s daughter Lydia, Nadia Hilker (The 100) as Magna, Lauren Ridloff as Connie, and Eleanor Matsuura (Wonder Woman) as Yumiko. The Walking Dead Season 9 will premiere on Sunday, October 7 at 9/8c.
Based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman and published by Image Comics, The Walking Dead reigns as television’s most watched drama for adults 18-49. The Walking Dead tells the story of the months and years that follow after a zombie apocalypse, and follows a group of survivors, led by police officer Rick Grimes, who travel in search of a safe and secure home.
