Slumberkins Series Revealed by Apple TV+

Apple TV+ today released the trailer for the heartwarming original preschool series Slumberkins, premiering globally on Friday, November 4. Emmy Award-nominated singer-songwriter Ingrid Michaelson serves as executive music producer, creating original music for the mixed media puppet/2D animation series from The Jim Henson Company.

Based on the leading children’s emotional learning brand Slumberkins, the series brings to life characters from the beloved books (buy now) while empowering the emotional wellness of children through supportive storytelling (learn more here). Embark on adventures with Bigfoot, Unicorn, Sloth, Yak and Fox as they explore a world of feelings.

Slumberkins Series Revealed by Apple TV+

The Slumberkins voice cast introduces young newcomers Brayden Morgan as Bigfoot, Olive Baity as Unicorn, Miles Flack as Sloth, Araceli Prasarttongosoth as Yak and Yonas Kibreab as Fox with narration by Jennifer Hale (Ralph Breaks the Internet).

Additional voice cast includes Jason Ritter (Raising Dion) as Fox’s father, Pamela Adlon (Better Things) as Fox’s mother, Adelynn Spoon (Luck) as Kit, Yvette Nicole Brown (Big Shot, Disenchanted) as Yak’s mother, Josh Banday (Upload, Not Dead Yet) as Bigfoot’s father and many more.

Slumberkins is created for television by Alex Rockwell (Word Party, Pajanimals). The Jim Henson Company’s Halle Stanford executive produces alongside Rockwell.

Callie Christensen (MIT, Elementary Education and Special Education) and Kelly Oriard (M.S., Counseling and Marriage Therapy and School Counseling), creators of the Slumberkins education brand, serve as co-executive producers of the series. Dr. Dan Siegel, executive director of the Mindsight Institute serves as an expert on attachment and human development as part of the Apple TV+ changemaker initiative.

The award-winning slate of original series and film for kids and families on Apple TV+ includes impressive all-ages offerings such as the critically-acclaimed properties El Deafo, Lovely Little Farm, Duck & Goose, Pinecone & Pony, Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock and Harriet the Spy from The Jim Henson Company.

There’s also Peabody Award-winning series Stillwater, Helpsters from Sesame Workshop, Wolfboy and the Everything Factory from Joseph Gordon-Levitt, HITRECORD and Bento Box Entertainment, Sago Mini Friends, and Hello, Jack! The Kindness Show from Jack McBrayer and Angela C. Santomero.

The Apple slate also includes Snoopy in Space, The Snoopy Show and Get Rolling with Otis. Live-action offerings include Bonnie Hunt’s Amber Brown, Best Foot Forward, Surfside Girls, Life By Ella, Daytime Emmy Award-winning Ghostwriter from Sesame Workshop and Puppy Place.

Also included are specials from Peanuts and WildBrain, including It’s The Small Things, Charlie Brown, Lucy’s School, To Mom (and Dad), With Love, and For Auld Lang Syne, and Here We Are: Notes for Living on Planet Earth, the Daytime Emmy Award-winning television event based on the New York Times bestselling book and TIME Best Book of the Year by Oliver Jeffers.

The kids and family film offerings include star-studded animated adventure film Luck from Apple Original Films and Skydance Animation which premiered this year and Academy Award-nominated animated film Wolfwalkers.

Apple TV+ will also soon expand its slate with stories from some of today’s biggest storytellers in kids and family programming, including the soon-to-premiere Circuit Breakers, a futuristic anthology series that tackles kid-relatable issues through a sci-fi lens; Interrupting Chicken, an animated preschool series which illuminates the joy of reading, writing and storytelling for children, and stars the voice talents of three-time Emmy Award winner Sterling K. Brown; and Jane, a new mission-driven series from J.J. Johnson, Sinking Ship Entertainment and the Jane Goodall Institute.

Apple TV+ offers premium, compelling drama and comedy series, feature films, groundbreaking documentaries, and kids and family entertainment, and is available to watch across all your favorite screens.
