Showtime has announced the movies, TV shows and sports programming coming to the service in November. The Showtime November 2021 lineup includes the special event series Dexter: New Blood, featuring the return of TV’s favorite serial killer.
Dexter: New Blood picks up 10 years after Dexter Morgan went missing, showing him living under a new name in the fictional small town of Iron Lake, NY. Also coming is the psychological horror series Yellowjackets, which tells the saga of how a high school girls soccer team descends into savagery after its plane crashes in the remote wilderness.

The Showtime November 2021 slate also features the return of VICE, which has seven new gripping episodes that cover an array of provocative topics, including Cuba’s new revolution and Louisiana’s so-called “Cancer Alley,” a Black community that’s seen a disturbing number of deaths.
Showtime is offering two new feature documentaries: On Saturday, November 6, Attica is a first-person account of the largest and bloodiest prison uprising in US history; and on Friday, November 26, Cusp is an unflinching, unfiltered snapshot of teenage life in America as three girls, on the cusp of womanhood, explore freedom and agency while grappling with the darker realities young women face today.

Showtime will also make available Oliver Stone’s documentary JFK Revisited: Through the Looking Glass beginning Friday, November 12, ahead of the anniversary of President Kennedy’s tragic death.
The season finales of drama series American Rust and the acclaimed political docuseries The Circus both will be available Sunday, November 7.

This month on Showtime Sports, get ready for a historic showtime on Saturday, November 6 — live on Showtime PPV from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas — when boxing’s consensus No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter, Mexican superstar and unified WBA/WBC/WBO Super Middleweight World Champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez faces undefeated IBF Super Middleweight World Champion Caleb “Sweethands” Plant.
Also that night, Anthony Dirrell squares off against “Madman” Marcos Hernández; unbeaten Rey Vargas returns to action against Mexico’s Leonardo Báez; and super lightweight contenders Elvis Rodríguez and Juan Pablo Romero battle in a 10-round showdown.

On Friday, November 12, Kevin Garnett: Anything Is Possible provides an in-depth, inside look at Garnett’s remarkable NBA career, diving deep into how his decision to become the first player in two decades to go to the NBA directly out of high school changed the NBA while ushering in a phenomenon that had a ripple effect beyond the sport, itself.
Subscribers also will have access to the network’s premium movie collection. As part of the Showtime November 2021 slate, the streamer highlights “Boots on the Ground: Veterans’ Stories” with films including Forrest Gump, G.I. Jane and Semper Fi and a “Fabulous Foreign Film Collection,” including Minari, Rafiki, Slalom and more!

SHOWTIME NOVEMBER 2021 ORIGINALS
ATTICA
Documentary Feature Premieres Saturday, November 6
In 1971, tensions between inmates and guards at the Attica Correctional Facility come to a head in the early hours of September 9 when inmates from the maximum-security prison in Upstate New York launched into the largest and bloodiest prison riot in US history. Through original interviews with former inmates, family members of the hostages, and those who witnessed the rebellion firsthand, Attica brings us back to a moment in time that resonated for decades, weaving hundreds of hours of never-before-seen, archival footage from inside the prison. The film captures the people, politics, emotions and tragedy, which continue to serve as a wake-up call about the need for prison reform and a reminder of the responsibilities of justice.

DEXTER: NEW BLOOD
Special Event Series Premieres Sunday, November 7
Set 10 years after Dexter went missing in the eye of Hurricane Laura, Dexter: New Blood finds him living under an assumed name in the fictional small town of Iron Lake, New York. Dexter may be embracing his new life, but in the wake of unexpected events in this close-knit community, his Dark Passenger inevitably beckons.

AMERICAN RUST
Season Finale: Sunday, November 7
Based on Philipp Meyer’s celebrated debut novel, American Rust, starring Jeff Daniels and Maura Tierney, is a compelling family drama and a timeless story of wanting a brighter future while being held prisoner by the past. The story of survival and transcendence is told through the eyes of Del Harris, the complicated and compromised chief of police of a Pennsylvania Rust Belt town full of good people making bad choices. When news of a murder rips through the town, Harris must decide the lengths he is willing to take to protect the son of the woman he loves.

THE CIRCUS
Season Finale: Sunday, November 7
The Circus: Inside the Greatest Political Show on Earth returns for an eight-episode run this fall. The acclaimed weekly docu-series, now in its sixth season and nominated this year for two Emmy Awards, is hosted by John Heilemann, Mark McKinnon, Alex Wagner and Jennifer Palmieri. With COVID-19 resurging, Afghanistan in chaos, Joe Biden’s sweeping domestic agenda on the line in Congress and the Republican Party still in thrall to Donald Trump and his Big Lie about 2020 election fraud, The Circus once again takes viewers behind the scenes and beyond the headlines at a moment when American politics is more convulsive than ever — and the stakes for the country have never been higher.

JFK REVISITED: THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS
New Documentary Film Premieres Friday, November 12
Thirty years after his film JFK, filmmaker Oliver Stone takes viewers on a journey though recently declassified evidence in the assassination of President Kennedy—the most consequential American murder mystery of the twentieth century. Joined by Oscar-winning narrators Whoopi Goldberg and Donald Sutherland, as well as a distinguished team of forensics, medical and ballistics experts, historians and witnesses, Stone presents compelling evidence that could persuade people to alter their views – what was once considered conspiracy theory is now presented as fact.
YELLOWJACKETS
Series Premieres Sunday, November 14
Equal parts survival epic, psychological horror story and coming-of-age drama, Yellowjackets is the saga of a team of wildly talented high school girls soccer players who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness. The series chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to savage clans, while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later, proving that the past is never really past and what began out in the wilderness is far from over.

VICE

The Peabody Award-winner and two-time Emmy®-nominated documentary series VICE relentlessly pursues untold stories of social justice, civil rights and identity, tackling complex geopolitical stories from remote parts of the world and on domestic grounds. The second half of the season this fall covers a range of topics, from an investigation into the disturbing number of deaths in the Black community living in Louisiana’s so called “Cancer Alley,” to the new revolution in Cuba. The VICE reporting team includes a diverse group of award-winning journalists including Isobel Yeung, Gianna Toboni, Hind Hassan, Alzo Slade, Seb Walker, Paola Ramos, Ben C. Solomon, David Noriega and Krishna Andavolu.

As they film the teens’ activities from bonfire parties to bedroom hangouts, discussions around sex, trauma, agency and consent unfold with candor.
