Showtime March 2022 Movies and TV Titles Announced

In the film, directed by Stanley Nelson and Traci A. Curry, survivors, observers, and expert government officials recount the 1971 uprising at the Attica Correctional Facility, the country’s deadliest prison uprising.

The violent five-day standoff between mostly Black and Latino inmates and law enforcement gripped America then and highlights the urgent, ongoing need for reform 50 years later.

Showtime March 2022

When it comes to The United States’ increasingly partisan politics, the gloves are off in season seven of The Circus, which begins Sunday, March 6, with the first half of its 16-episode run. This season examines the looming threat to American democracy as President Joe Biden’s agenda stalls, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and former President Donald Trump’s grip on the Republican party tightens.

With issues like inflation and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic dividing the American public, the upcoming midterm elections are more crucial than ever and will determine control of the Senate, House of Representatives, and the Biden Administration’s future.

The Showtime March 2022 slate also includes boxing. The main event of the ShoBox: The New Generation quadruple header on March 11 will feature Flint, Michigan native Ardreal Holmes and Mekhrubon Sanginov, who will clash in a welterweight match between the two undefeated fighters, live from Deadwood Mountain Grand Hotel in Deadwood, South Dakota.

The next day, Bellator MMA: Burnell vs. Borics will determine the Bellator Featherweight World Champion when No. 2-ranked Ádám Borics will fight Mads Burnell in the main event, live from The Family Arena in St. Louis. And former Bellator Light Heavyweight Champion Phil Davis will return to the ring against No. 4-ranked Julius Anglickas in the co-main event.

Showtime also recognizes Women’s History Month with several film collections that feature award-winning work by women in all facets of the movie business, including a specially-curated selection that spotlights the work of leading ladies Meryl Streep, Uma Thurman, and Sigourney Weaver that includes Sophie’s Choice, Pulp Fiction and Alien, respectively.

SHOWTIME MARCH 2022 ORIGINALS

THE CIRCUS – Docuseries Season 7 Premiere: Sunday, March 6
“The Circus” covers the lead-up to the most consequential midterm elections in our lifetime. As President Joe Biden’s agenda stalls, his poll numbers slide, global conflicts escalate, inflation spikes, and the nation grows more divided over the COVID-19 pandemic. The November midterms will not only determine control of Congress but also the future of the Biden presidency.

The program pulls back the curtain on this extraordinary and precarious moment, examining how former President Donald Trump continues to undermine the country’s electoral process and sway the Republican Party to pass state laws that restrict voter access to the polls and change how votes are counted. Nothing short of the future of American democracy is on the line.
