Showtime July 2020 Movies and TV Titles Announced

Showtime has announced the movies and TV shows coming to the service in July. The Showtime July 2020 line-up includes the premiere of investigative docuseries Outcry, which examines the gripping story of high school football star Greg Kelley’s controversial conviction for child molestation and the quest for truth and justice that followed in the wake of his sentencing.

Black Monday will conclude its second season on July 19 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, and The Chi will continue with new episodes on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Popular late-night series Desus & Mero will return from hiatus with new episodes on Sundays and Thursdays beginning Sunday, July 5 at 11 p.m. ET/PT.

Showtime July 2020 Original Series

Sunday, July 5 at 10 p.m. ET/PT

From Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Pat Kondelis, five-part docu-series “Outcry” examines the gripping story of Texas high school football star Greg Kelley, his controversial conviction for child molestation, and the quest for truth and justice that followed in the wake of his sentencing. The series captures a raw and divided community over the course of three years as both sides of the appeal process work in pursuit of opposing truths.

Season Finale Sunday, July 19 at 8 p.m. ET/PT

The last four episodes of the season find Mo (Don Cheadle) and Dawn (Regina Hall) at odds on a potential opportunity, Blair (Andrew Rannells) involved in a risky proposition and Keith (Paul Scheer) making a shocking discovery.

Returns from Hiatus Sunday, July 5 at 11 p.m. ET/PT

Previously airing Mondays and Thursdays, “Desus & Mero” will now air weekly on Sunday and Thursday nights, continuing to shoot remotely from the hosts’ own homes. Each episode features Desus Nice (Daniel Baker) and The Kid Mero (Joel Martinez) giving their take on the day’s hot topics and chatting with guests at the intersection of pop culture, sports, music, politics and more.

Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT

In season three of “The Chi,” Kevin (Alex Hibbert) rallies Papa (Shamon Brown Jr.) and Jake (Michael V. Epps) for help when his sister Kiesha (Birgundi Baker) doesn’t come home and their newlywed mothers Nina (Tyla Abercrumbie) and Dre (Miriam A. Hyman) become worried. Meanwhile, a maturing Emmett (Jacob Latimore) continues to try to alter the way his mother Jada (Yolonda Ross) sees him, going from unmotivated teen to full-fledged businessman. But Jada has her sights set on her own next chapter. A fledgling Ronnie (Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine) is unsure of his life’s purpose but hoping it’s not too late to transform himself. Jake finds himself in a tug-of-war between his estranged brother, Trig (Luke James), and his girlfriend, Imani (Jasmine Davis), and his powerful new father-figure, Douda (Curtiss Cook), while Papa finds love in an unlikely place.
