SHOWTIME FEBRUARY 2022 ORIGINALS
EVERYTHING’S GONNA BE ALL WHITE – Three-part Docuseries Premiere: Friday, February 11
Everything’s Gonna Be All White takes a deep dive into America’s complicated past and present through the voices and experiences of people of color. The three-part docuseries from acclaimed Emmy nominated director and executive producer Sacha Jenkins marries humor with history as it unapologetically confronts the many facets of racism, exploitation and discrimination that have contributed to the formation of these US of A.
In a nation that mostly sticks to one side of America’s history, Everything’s Gonna Be All White confronts the controversial issues that indelibly stain our collective red, white and blue parts. The docuseries includes a bonus episode “Everything’s NOT Gonna Be All White,” that features prominent voices from across the country sitting down to wax poetic on our present, shining a light on how America can attain a more equitable future in all spaces.

WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT COSBY – Four-part Docuseries Finale: Sunday, February 20
A four-part docuseries directed by W. Kamau Bell, We Need to Talk About Cosby wrestles with the conversations of the #MeToo movement, focusing on Bill Cosby’s descent from “America’s Dad” to alleged sexual predator. The series explores the complex story of Cosby’s life and work, weighing his actions against his indisputable global influence through interviews with comedians, cultural commentators, journalists and women who share their most personal, harrowing encounters with Cosby.
Through archival footage, Cosby reveals who he may have been all along – the antithesis of the principled, public figure who became a hero, not only for African Americans but for all people. In the finale, after spending the early aughts perched on the high horse of respectability politics, Cosby falls down to Earth. Hannibal Burress tells a joke in Philadelphia, a chorus of survivors speaks out, and a culture is ready to listen.

Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber tells the story of one of Silicon Valley’s most successful and most destructive unicorns, Uber. Even amid the radical upheaval generated within the global tech capital, Uber stands out as both a marvel and a cautionary tale, featuring internal and external battles that ripple with unpredictable consequences. Super Pumped is the first installment of an anthology series in which each season explores a story that rocked the business world to its core and changed culture.
