Rob Riggle Returns to Shark Week with Shark Trip: Eat. Prey. Chum.

Are you ready for Shark Week from Discovery Channel? Rob Riggle is set to return with the show Shark Trip: Eat. Prey. Chum., according to THR. The show will be part of the event which will air numerous shows from July 28 through August 4.

Riggle, whose Global Investigator was recently greenlit by the cable network, will be joined by Anthony Anderson (black-ish), Adam Devine (The Righteous Gemstones), Joel McHale (Community) and Damon Wayans Jr. (New Girl) for an adventure checking out the denizens of the deep.

Shark Trip: Eat. Prey. Chum. is produced by Will Packer. Riggle will also host the late night talk show Shark After Dark for the event. Executive producing are Matthew Kelly, Michael Sorensen, Packer, Kelly Smith, Paul Matusheski and Benjamin Haslup, as well as Riggle, Chris Pizzi and Bennett Webber. For Discovery Channel, the producers are Nancy Daniels, Howard Swartz and Joseph Schneier.

“I’m a huge ‘Shark Week’ fan and can’t wait to dive back into the water with the ocean’s most magnificent creatures. It’s going to be an epic ‘Shark Trip’ with some of my best buddies,” Riggle said.

Added Packer, executive producer and CEO of Will Packer Media: “I brought Rob in for ‘Shark Week’ last year and I’ll be honest, I was kinda surprised he survived. So I thought, what the heck, let’s put together a ‘Guys Trip’ and see if we can trick four other dudes into coming along with him this time,” he said, referencing his film Girls Trip.

This is the 30th year of Shark Week on the Discovery Channel.
