Prime Video has announced the movie and TV titles coming to the service in April. The Prime Video April 2023 lineup includes new Amazon Original movies, TV series, and specials. Below, you’ll also find the titles coming to Amazon Freevee.
The Prime Video April 2023 schedule includes Amazon Originals like the Russo Brothers’ global spy series Citadel, starring Richard Madden, Priyanka Chopra and Stanley Tucci, plus Judy Blume Forever, Dead Ringers, and more.
If you’re looking for laughs this month, tune into the new Freevee Original comedy series Jury Duty or Ticket to Paradise, which reunites romcom legends George Clooney and Julia Roberts.

REDEFINED: J.R. SMITH (2023 – Streaming April 4)
“Redefined: J.R. Smith” is a four-part docuseries following J.R. Smith, whose story serves as a powerful reminder that with determination and resilience, one can overcome even the toughest setbacks and achieve success. Drafted to the NBA straight out of high school at just 19 years old, J.R. suddenly finds himself without an NBA team to call home and in search of redefining his life and career.
The series picks up with J.R. as he sets a new intention for himself, getting a college education and pursuing a new athletic passion as a member of the Men’s Golf Team at North Carolina A&T, the nation’s largest Historically Black University.
“Redefined: J.R. Smith” is executive produced by LeBron James and Maverick Carter with their multi-Emmy Award-winning athlete empowerment brand UNINTERRUPTED.
Jamal Henderson and Philip Byron will also executive produce with Amy Glickman Brown and Erikka Yancy serving as co-executive producers for UNINTERRUPTED. Philip Knowlton serves as director and will also co-executive produce. “Redefined: J.R. Smith” is presented by Prime Video Sports and produced by UNINTERRUPTED.
GANGS OF LAGO (2023 – Streaming April 7)
“Gangs of Lagos” is a high-stakes, gritty, and hard-hitting action crime-thriller, with an authentic storyline centred on a group of childhood friends who each have to navigate destiny, growing up on the bustling streets and neighbourhood of Isale Eko, Lagos. It features elaborate set pieces, action scenes, and engaging dialogue, balanced by a high-octane pace and emotionally grounded story at its core.
Starring Tobi Bakre, Adesua Etomi-Wellington, and Chike Osebuka, Gangs of Lagos is directed and produced by Jáde Osiberu.
LIZZY HOO: HOO CARES!? (2023 – Streaming April 7)
“Lizzy Hoo: Hoo Cares!?” is a show about life, family and following your dreams before it’s too late, but only if they’re worth it. With tales about her former office life, skydiving to her mum’s 60th her brother’s backyard, trout-farming dreams, and father-daughter trips to Malaysia with her larger-than-life dad, Chan, Lizzy’s show is an hour of big laughs and good times from a comedian whose profile has exploded in a few short years.
ON A WING AND A PRAYER (2023 – Streaming April 7)
In this extraordinary true story of faith and survival, “On a Wing and a Prayer” follows passenger Doug White’s (Dennis Quaid) harrowing journey to safely land a plane and save his entire family from insurmountable danger, after their pilot dies unexpectedly mid-flight.
GREEK SALAD (2023 – Streaming April 14)
Tom, 26 years old, and his sister Mia, 22 years old, are the children of Xavier and Wendy (L’Auberge Espagnole). When their grandfather dies, they inherit a building in Athens. Tom, a young startup trained in New York, joins his sister in Greece to manage the family estate. He discovers that Mia, who pretends as an Erasmus student, is in fact a rebel activist who lies to the whole family.
But their differences of opinion and lifestyle will make the sharing of the inheritance very complicated. They will find themselves (like their parents 25 years earlier) living with young people from all over Europe. It is this collective life that will finally help them to get closer… “Greek Salad” will spotlight European youth and the experiences and problems they face today.
DEAD RINGERS (2023 – Streaming April 21)
A modern take on David Cronenberg’s 1988 thriller starring Jeremy Irons, “Dead Ringers” will feature Rachel Weisz playing the double-lead role of Elliot and Beverly Mantle, twins who share everything: Drugs, lovers, and an unapologetic desire to do whatever it takes — including pushing the boundaries
on medical ethics — in an effort to challenge antiquated practices and bring women’s healthcare to the forefront.
The series’ ensemble cast also includes Britne Oldford as Genevieve, Poppy Liu as Greta, Michael Chernus as Tom, Jennifer Ehle as Rebecca, and Emily Meade as Susan.
JUDY BLUME FOREVER (2023 – Streaming April 21)

Eight years ago, Citadel fell.
