The 2018 Pokémon World Championships kicked off today in Nashville, Tennessee and with it comes news about the upcoming Pokemon Detective Pikachu movie. Tsunekazu Ishihara, president and CEO of The Pokémon Company, revealed the logo for the movie which you can view above.
Director Rob Letterman was also present and revealed one battle you can expect in the May 10, 2019 release. If you don’t mind knowing in advance, you can check out the tweet with details below.
Starring Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool series), Ken Watanabe (Godzilla), Justice Smith (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom) and Kathryn Newton (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri), the film is from director Rob Letterman (Goosebumps, Gulliver’s Travels) and writers Nicole Perlman and Letterman—with Eric Pearson and Tom McCarthy having completed the production polishes.
