PlayStation VR Sales Pass 3 Million as Creed and Evasion Dates Announced

Sony Interactive Entertainment today announced that more than three million PlayStation VR systems have sold through worldwide, along with 21.9 million PS VR games. “We’d like to thank all our fans for the amazing support, and we’re thrilled that so many of our gamers have experienced the magic of VR and stepped into the captivating worlds that electrify our senses,” said the company.

To celebrate the milestone, Sony has announced the launch dates for two upcoming PlayStation VR games coming this fall.

Creed: Rise to Glory will be available on September 25, 2018. Jump into the ring with a premier VR boxing experience from Survios that puts you in the gloves of Adonis Creed on his journey from an underground amateur to a spotlight champion.

Evasion will be available on October 9, 2018. In Evasion, play as one of four unique hero classes within an elite special operations team charged with saving an embattled human colony. The intense, sci-fi first-person VR shooter comes from Archiact.

The company also announced the top ten most-played games on PlayStation VR which span across diverse genres, from action-RPG to horror to first-person shooter:

  3. Rec Room
  4. Resident Evil 7 biohazard
  5. The Playroom VR
  6. Job Simulator
  7. Until Dawn: Rush of Blood
  8. Batman: Arkham VR
  9. Farpoint
  10. Superhot VR
