Today, we have a brand new trailer and poster for the upcoming Paramount Pictures animated film Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank, featuring the voices of Michael Cera, Ricky Gervais, and Samuel L. Jackson.

The film comes to us from Paramount as well as Nickelodeon Movies, Align, and Aniventure. Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank will hit theaters on July 15, 2022, and is rated PG for action, violence, rude and suggestive humor, and some language.
We’ve got the synopsis for the film: “A hard-on-his-luck hound Hank (Michael Cera) finds himself in a town full of cats who need a hero to defend them from a ruthless villain’s (Ricky Gervais) evil plot to wipe their village off the map.
“With help from a reluctant teacher (Samuel L. Jackson) to train him, our underdog must assume the role of town samurai and team up with the villagers to save the day. The only problem… cats hate dogs!”
Mel Brooks, George Takei, Aasif Mandvi, Gabriel Iglesias, Djimon Hounsou, Michelle Yeoh, Kylie Kuioka, and Cathy Shim also star.
The film is directed by Rob Minkoff, Mark Koetsier, and Chris Bailey. It was written by Ed Stone & Nate Hopper and Mel Brooks, Norman Steinberg, Andrew Bergman, Richard Pryor, and Alan Uger. The movie is loosely based on the plot of the 1974 Mel Brooks film Blazing Saddles.
Cera plays the role of Hank, Jackson will voice Jimbo, and Gervais will provide the voice of Ika Chu. The film was formerly known as Blazing Samurai.
The producers include Rob Minkoff, Adam Nagle, Peter Nagle, Guy Collins, Yair Landau, and Susan Purcell.
The executive producers are Adrian Politowski, Alex Schwartz, Ben White, Reginald Hudlin, Wang Zhongjun, Wang Zhonglei, and Mel Brooks.
The movie is presented in association with HB Wink Animation and GFM Animation. It is a Flying Tigers Entertainment Production with Aniventure and Cinesite.
