Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga, who have played Ed and Lorraine Warren in two The Conjuring movies, will make their first appearance one of the film series’ spinoffs, according to Deadline. The duo will reprise their roles for Annabelle 3, written and to be directed by Gary Dauberman.
While they will appear in a supporting capacity in the third Annabelle film, Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga will again lead The Conjuring 3, which will be directed by Michael Chaves (upcoming The Curse of La Llorona). James Wan, who directed the first two Conjuring films, will serve as a producer this time around.
Annabelle 3 picks up with the Warrens bringing the Annabelle doll to a place where she can no longer wreak havoc: their Artifacts Room. Annabelle awakens the room’s evil which sets its sights on a new target: the Warrens’ 10-year-old daughter Judy. The young girl, along with her babysitter (Judy’s teenage cousin) and cousin’s friend, square off against the evil doll.
Mckenna Grace will play Judy, and Madison Iseman also stars. Wan is producing with Peter Safran. Michael Clear and Michelle Morrissey will executive produce.
New Line’s Annabelle 3 begins filming this week for a July 3, 2019 release.
