Today, Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Comics revealed the first trailer for Shazam! Fury of the Gods, which will be opening in theaters on December 21, 2022. You can watch the trailer for the sequel below!
The film is directed by David F. Sandberg from a script by Henry Gayden and Chris Morgan. The producers are Peter Safran and Geoff Johns.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods stars Zachary Levi as Shazam, Asher Angel as Billy Batson, Jack Dylan Grazer as Freddy Freeman, Adam Brody as Superhero Freddy, Faithe Herman as Darla Dudley, Meagan Good as Superhero Darla, Ian Chen as Eugene Choi, and Ross Butler as Superhero Eugene.
Also starring are Grace Fulton as Mary Bromfield, Jovan Armand as Pedro Peña, D.J. Cotrona as Superhero Pedro, Marta Milans as Rosa Vasquez, Cooper Andrews as Victor Vasquez, Helen Mirren as Hespera, Lucy Liu as Kalypso, Rachel Zegler as Hespera’s sister, and Djimon Hounsou.
The first Shazam! movie opened in theaters on April 5, 2019, and grossed $364.6 million worldwide, with $140.4 million coming from North America and $224.2 million from overseas markets.
It is an origin story that stars Zachary Levi as the titular DC superhero, along with Asher Angel as Billy Batson and Mark Strong in the role of supervillain Dr. Thaddeus Sivana.

Cooper Andrews (TV’s The Walking Dead) and Marta Milans (TV’s Killer Women) play foster parents Victor and Rosa Vasquez, with Oscar nominee Djimon Hounsou (Blood Diamond) as the Wizard.
