New Shang-Chi Featurette and Promo from Marvel Studios!

Today we have a brand new Shang-Chi featurette and a new promo, giving us a look at the upcoming Marvel Studios film. You can check out both videos in the player below.

In the action-packed  “Next Level Action” featurette, cast members Simu Liu, Awkwafina, Tony Leung, Michelle Yeoh and Fala Chen, and producer Kevin Feige, director Destin Daniel Cretton and fight coordinator Andy Cheng offer an upfront look at the jaw-dropping action in Marvel Studios’ Shang-Chi and the Legend of The Ten Rings.

Showcasing a combination of  Marvel Studios’ signature action style and the mastery of martial artists from around the world, Shang-Chi and the Legend of The Ten Rings is poised to explode on screen with never-seen-before action and spectacle.

Simu Liu plays the film’s title character, Shang-Chi, who must confront the past he thought he left behind when he is drawn into the web of the mysterious Ten Rings organization.

The film also stars Tony Leung as Wenwu, Awkwafina as Shang-Chi’s friend Katy, and Michelle Yeoh as Jiang Nan.

The cast is rounded out by Fala Chen, Meng’er Zhang, Florian Munteanu, and Ronny Chieng.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and produced by Kevin Feige. Jonathan Schwartz, with Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso and Charles Newirth serve as executive producers.

David Callaham & Destin Daniel Cretton & Andrew Lanham wrote the screenplay for the anticipated film.

Marvel StudiosShang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is scheduled to open in theaters on September 3, 2021.

Shang-Chi was first seen in Special Marvel Edition #15 in 1973 and was created by Steven Engelhart and Jim Starlin. Shang-Chi fights unarmed, as well as with weapons like a gun, nunchaku and jian in the wushu style. He can also create duplicates of himself.

Shang-Chi is the son of Fu Manchu and was trained by his father and his father’s instructors in martial arts, eventually realizing that Fu Manchu isn’t a good man. Shang-Chi has also been an Avenger.

Shang-Chi has worked with Iron Fist, The Thing, Spider-Man, Black Widow and Nick Fury, setting the character in a perfect position to join the team as Marvel Studios moves into its next phase.

The character has also also been a member of Heroes for Hire.
