Apple TV+ has debuted the new trailer for Dickinson, the streaming service’s comedy web television series created by Alena Smith. The new trailer features star Hailee Steinfeld’s Afterlife, which you can also check out the audio for in the player below as well. The series is coming to Apple TV+ on November 1st.
Hailee Steinfeld’s Afterlife was co-written by StarGate, Kennedi Lyken, and KOZ. The song was co-produced by StarGate and KOZ.
“This record has become one of my favorite songs I’ve worked on and sonically, it’s indicative of the direction I’m exploring with my new music. There’s a line in the song that says ‘immortality is bliss’ and its reminiscent of a lot of Emily’s poems,” Steinfeld. “She lived during a time where women were forbidden from voicing their opinions and restricted in many ways, including how they dressed. I wanted the single art to reflect this idea too so the corset has an exaggerated cinch to represent how Emily in particular felt constricted and stifled.”
Dickinson is a half-hour comedy series starring Oscar nominee Hailee Steinfeld.
Created by Alena Smith, the series audaciously explores the constraints of society, gender, and family from the perspective of rebellious young poet Emily Dickinson. You can still watch the first trailer for the series by clicking here.
