Netflix has picked up Quantico creator Joshua Safran’s Mixtape to series after FOX had passed on the pilot. The 10-episode series comes from Annapurna Pictures, in association with 20th Century Fox Television and Fox 21 Television Studios

We all have our own soundtracks. Mixtape is a romantic musical drama that looks at the love stories connecting a diverse, disparate group of people in contemporary Los Angeles through the music that lives inside their hearts and minds.

The cast includes Callie Hernandez as Nellie, Jahmil French as Dante, Jenna Dewan as Joanna, Campbell Scott as Frank, Madeleine Stowe as Margot, Marianne Jean-Baptiste as Annette, Megan Ferguson as Gigi, and Evan Whitten as Barry. The role of Sam, played by Raul Castillo in the pilot, will be recast.

Safran will executive produce with Megan Ellison, Sue Naegle, and Ali Krug.
