Netflix Orders Space Force Season 2, Sets The Guilty Cast

Netflix has given the green light to Space Force Season 2, which will start filming in Vancouver in 2021. The first season, which premiered on May 29, 2020, was filmed in Los Angeles.

From co-creators Steve Carell and Greg Daniels (The Office), Space Force is a new kind of workplace comedy, where the stakes are sky high and the ambitions even higher.

In the Space Force, a decorated pilot with dreams of running the Air Force, four-star general Mark R. Naird (Steve Carell) is thrown for a loop when he finds himself tapped to lead the newly-formed sixth branch of the US Armed Forces: Space Force.

Skeptical but dedicated, Mark uproots his family and moves to a remote base in Colorado where he and a colorful team of scientists and “Spacemen” are tasked by the White House with getting American boots on the moon (again) in a hurry and achieving total space dominance.

John Malkovich, Diana Silvers, Tawny Newsome, Ben Schwartz also star, alongside co-stars Lisa Kudrow, Jimmy O. Yang, Noah Emmerich, Alex Sparrow and Don Lake.

Howard Klein/3Arts (The Office) serves as an executive producer of Space Force Season 2 as well.

Netflix has also announced the full cast of Antoine Fuqua (Southpaw, The Magnificent Seven) new film The Guilty, which is based on the Gustav Moller-directed Danish drama Den Skyldige.

The movie takes place over the course of a single morning in a 911 dispatch call center. Call operator Joe Bayler (Jake Gyllenhaal) tries to save a caller in grave danger – but he soon discovers that nothing is as it seems, and facing the truth is the only way out.

Joining the previously-announced Gyllenhaal are Peter Sarsgaard, Riley Keough, Byron Bowers, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, David Castañeda, Christina Vidal, Paul Dano, Ethan Hawke, Adrian Martinez, Bill Burr, Beau Knapp, and Edi Patterson.

The Guilty is written and executive produced by Nic Pizzolatto (True Detective).

The producers include Jake Gylenhaal and Riva Marker for Nine Stories; Antoine Fuqua and Kat Samick for Fuqua Films; Scott Greenberg; Bold Film’s Michel Litvak, Gary Michael Walters, David Litvak and Svetlana Metkina; and Amet Entertainment’s David Haring.

The executive producers are Annie Marter, Gustav Moller, Lina Flint, Christian Mercuri, Jon Oakes and Eric Greenfeld.
