MGM+ November 2023 Titles Announced

MGM+ has announced the movies and series coming to the premium linear channel and streaming service during the month of November. The MGM+ November 2023 lineup includes such titles as Beacon 23, NFL Icons Season 3, and films like Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.

MGM+, previously known as Epix, is owned by the MGMPlus Entertainment subsidiary of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM), which is itself a subsidiary of Amazon MGM Studios.

MGM+ is a destination for original premium content, with original series including sci-fi horror series FROM; Emmy-winning series Godfather of Harlem; the Western adventure Billy the Kid; and cinematic dramatic and limited series including The Winter King, Beacon 23, A Spy Among Friends, War of the Worlds, Rogue Heroes, and Belgravia.

The network is also the home of acclaimed docuseries, including Emmy-nominated Laurel Canyon, My Life as a Rolling Stone, NFL Icons, and San Francisco Sounds: A Place in Time.

Premium movies are also available, including Top Gun: Maverick, No Time to Die, Creed III, House of Gucci, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Till, and Smile.

With thousands of titles available for streaming, MGM+ is available nationwide through cable, telco, satellite, emerging digital distribution channels, its MGM+ app, and all new Fire TV device purchases come with a six-month MGM+ subscription courtesy of Amazon.

BEACON 23

Episodes 1 and 2 of 8 Premiere Sunday, November 12 at 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. EST/PST; New episodes follow every Sunday.

Produced by Boat Rocker and based on the best-selling book by Hugh Howey, the series stars Emmy nominee Lena Headey (Game of Thrones) and Emmy and Golden Globe Nominee Stephan James (Homecoming).

Beacon 23 takes place in the farthest reaches of the Milky Way and follows Aster (Lena Headey), a government agent, and Halan (Stephan James), a stoic ex-military man, whose fates become entangled after they find themselves trapped together inside one of many Beacons that serve as a lighthouse for intergalactic travelers.

Every Beacon is run by one highly trained human and a specialized Artificial Intelligence.

Aster mysteriously finds her way to the lonely Beacon-keeper Halan, and a tense battle of wills unfolds. Halan begins to question whether Aster is friend or foe, as her ability to disguise her agenda and motives could make her a formidable opponent.

On the outskirts of space, Beacon 23 is operated by one man. The job is lonely but simple enough—help ships navigate the hazards of space travel. But the job becomes complicated when an unexpected visitor exposes a dark secret hidden on the beacon.

On the heels of Aster’s discovery, Wreckers force their way onboard. Looking to steal a special prize, the Wreckers have been told this beacon is carrying something special. Aster’s only hope for survival is to find common ground with an enemy.

In shock after her first kill, Aster buries her feelings as she and Halan prepare for QTA Manager Coley to arrive on the beacon. Once onboard, Coley immediately distrusts Halan and sees him as a threat, forcing Aster to make a tough decision.

In the early days of Beacon 23’s history, Sophie (Barbara Hershey) is one of the first Beacon Keepers. When Sophie receives a surprise visit from Milan Aleph, the awkward genius responsible for beacons, she realizes she’s set a dangerous precedent with her AI.

NFL ICONS SEASON 3

Season 3 Finale Premieres Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 10 P.M. EDT/PDT.

NFL Icons celebrates some of the greatest names and contributors in NFL history, featuring their own words and unrivaled archival footage from NFL Films. Each hour-long episode focuses on a single subject, whose career comes to life through a deep dive into the NFL Films archives, and the opportunity to reflect on their landmark contributions.

Each episode of NFL Icons provides an in-depth and personal exploration of some of the biggest names in football history, showcasing not only their remarkable athleticism, but also the significant impact these icons had on the game and their communities. The docuseries, narrated by award-winning broadcaster Rich Eisen, will tell each legendary figure’s story through a combination of interviews, highlights, mic’d-up sound, and never-before-seen footage.

Executive producers of NFL Icons are Ross Ketover, Patrick Kelleher, Brian Rolapp, Keith Cossrow, Michael Wright, and Jill Burkhart. Ken Rodgers is the senior coordinating producer, and Paul Camarata is the series producer.

Episode 304 – “Charles Woodson” – November 11, 2023 at 10 P.M. EDT/PDT
Woodson, a Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packer, legendary Oakland Raider, Ohio Mr. Football, Pro Football Hall of Famer, and Heisman Trophy winner at the University of Michigan, recounts his singular journey across the football landscape. Woodson, who played 154 games as a Raider, and 100 as a Packer, is now with FOX Sports.

Prime Video, the exclusive home of Thursday Night Football, will be offering its subscribers a special viewing opportunity to watch all eight episodes from each of the first two seasons of the acclaimed NFL Icons franchise from Sept. 30 through Nov. 30 for free. Episodes from season one and two include revealing profiles of legendary NFL figures John Madden, Walter Payton, Jerry Rice, Troy Aikman, Tony Dungy and Vince Lombardi.

In addition, sample all episodes of NFL Icons Season One and Season Two for free across participating partners including Verizon, DISH, Buckeye Broadband, CHARTER, Uverse, DIRECTV, Sling, Comcast, Prime Video, Apple, Roku from Sept. 30 through Nov. 30.

Episode 302 of the all-new Season Three will be available across participating partners from Oct. 29 through Nov. 30, and Episode 303 will be available Nov. 5 through Nov 30.

MOVIES TO STREAM

A selection of the year’s hottest blockbusters, comedies and action films are coming to MGM+ through the end of 2023, including Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, Bottoms and Marlowe.

Bottoms – Now available
From producer Elizabeth Banks, starring Ayo Edibiri and Rachel Sennott. Two unpopular queer high school students start a fight club to have sex before graduation.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts – Now available
From director Steven Caple Jr, starring Dominique Fishbach and Anthony Ramos. During the ’90s, a new faction of Transformers — the Maximals — join the Autobots as allies in the battle for Earth.

Marlowe – Coming December 1st, 2023
Starring Liam Neeson and Diane Kruger. In late 1930s Bay City, a brooding, down on his luck detective is hired to find the ex-lover of a glamorous heiress.
