Netflix announced today the streaming service is moving forward with a The Babysitter sequel that will be directed by McG, who also directed the first film. Principal photography begins October 14, 2019 in Los Angeles.
The cast includes Judah Lewis, Robbie Amell, Hana Mae Lee, Bella Thorne, Emily Alyn Lind, Andrew Bachelor, Ken Marino, Leslie Bibb, Carl McDowell, and Chris Wylde.
The Babysitter sequel is described as follows: “Two years after defeating a satanic cult led by his babysitter Bee, Cole’s trying to forget his past and focus on surviving high school. But when old enemies unexpectedly return, Cole will once again have to outsmart the forces of evil.”
McG will direct from a script by Dan Lagana. The producers are McG, Mary Viola, and Zack Schiller. The executive producers include Steven Bello, Corey Marsh, Brian Duffield, Alex Boies, Tyler Zacharia, and Devin Andre. The movie comes from Wonderland Sound and Vision and Boies / Schiller Film Group.
The 2017 release centered on the 12-year-old Cole, who falls in love with his hot babysitter only to discover that she’s part of a satanic cult that wants to kill him.
