Sony Pictures has released (via The New York Times) a new photo from the upcoming Uncharted movie. The photo gives us a first good look at Mark Wahlberg’s Victor “Sully” Sullivan.
In the video games, Sully has a mustache, though the film is reportedly set during an earlier time in the lives of Nathan Drake and Sully.

The Uncharted film wrapped production in October 2020 and is scheduled for a release in theaters on February 18, 2022.
Tom Holland plays Nathan “Nate” Drake and Mark Wahlberg portrays Victor “Sully” Sullivan. Sully is an American treasure hunter as well as an old friend and mentor at one point of Drake.

The cast of the Sony Pictures release also includes Antonio Banderas, Tati Gabrielle (The 100) as Braddock, and Sophia Taylor Ali as Chloe Frazer.
The Uncharted film is directed by Ruben Fleischer (Venom). Fleischer’s credits include the Zombieland movies, 30 Minutes or Less and Gangster Squad.

Art Marcum & Matt Holloway (Iron Man and Men in Black: International) and Rafe Judkins wrote the script.
The project is the first feature production of Sony PlayStation Productions. Headed by Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan, PlayStation Productions has come on to produce alongside Chuck Roven, Avi Arad, Alex Gartner, and Ari Arad. Qizilbash and Swan will serve as executive producers.

Based on the Naughty Dog video games for PlayStation consoles, the film is said to take its basis from the sequence in Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception in which the young Nathan “Nate” Drake (Holland) encounters his partner Victor Sullivan for the first time.
