MacGruber Trailer and Key Art Revealed!

NBCUniversal’s Peacock streaming service revealed the official MacGruber trailer and key art, which preview the anticipated series. You can watch the MacGruber trailer below and you’ll find the poster underneath.

Based on the iconic Saturday Night Live sketch, the eight half-hour episodes will premiere on Thursday, December 16, 2021.

After rotting in prison for over a decade, America’s ultimate hero and uber patriot MacGruber is finally released. His mission: to take down a mysterious villain from his past – Brigadier Commander Enos Queeth.

With the entire world in the crosshairs, MacGruber must reassemble his old team, Vicki St. Elmo and Dixon Piper, in order to defeat the forces of evil.

Will Forte will reprise his iconic role as MacGruber and also writes and executive produces the show. The cast also includes Kristen Wiig (Vicki St. Elmo), Ryan Phillippe (Dixon Piper), Sam Elliott (Perry), and Laurence Fishburne (General Barrett Fasoose).

The cast is rounded out by Billy Zane (Brigadier Commander Enos Queeth), Joseph Lee Anderson (Major Harold Kernst), and Timothy V. Murphy (Constantine Bach).

The series is an adaptation of the 2010 feature film (buy at Amazon) and cult favorite of the same title, which will also feature the original creative team behind the camera.

Will Forte serves as writer and executive producer alongside John Solomon and Jorma Taccone who will also direct. Lorne Michaels, John Goldwyn, Andrew Singer and Erin David also serve as executive producers.

MacGruber is from Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, and Broadway Video.
