The Official Trailer for Lupin Part 2!

Netflix today released the official trailer for Lupin Part 2, which you can watch using the player below. The second season of the hit French series will return to the streaming service on June 11, 2021.

Lupin Part 2 is set to have five episodes and stars Omar Sy as Assane Diop, the son of an immigrant from Senegal who moved to France. He’s inspired by a fictional master thief named Arsène Lupin, a character created by real-life author Maurice Leblanc in 1905.

Assane Diop’s father was framed for stealing a diamond necklace by his boss, Hubert Pellegrini. Assane’s father hung himself in prison, leaving his teenage son alone.

After reading a book about the thief Lupin that was a gift from his father, an older Assane tries to get revenge on the Pellegrini family. Lupin is the first French series to hit the top 10 on Netflix in the U.S. It has been the number one ranked series across Europe.

This isn’t a game anymore.

Assane’s quest for revenge against Hubert Pelligrini has torn his family to pieces. With his back to the wall, he now has to think of a new plan, even if it means putting himself in danger.

The cast for Lupin Part 2 includes Omar Sy, Hervé Pierre, Nicole Garcia, Clotilde Hesme, Ludivine Sagnier, Antoine Gouy, Shirine Boutella and Soufiane Guerrab. The series was created by George Kay in collaboration with François Uzan.

It was directed by Ludovic Bernard (episodes 6 &7), Hugo Gélin (episodes 8-10), and was produced by Gaumont Télévision (Isabelle Degeorges, Nathan Franck).
