According to Lohan, the opportunity to return to the genre that launched her career was part of the draw of taking on a project like Falling for Christmas: “It’s such a refreshing, heartwarming romantic comedy, and I miss doing those kinds of movies,” she says.

In an interview with Tudum, Lohan added: “Christmas is a time when family comes together It’s just such a loving holiday.”

The actress said that she learned some new skills along the way: “All the stunt scenes were really fun for me because I haven’t gotten to do that much in a lot of my films. When I’m flying off the hill, attempting to ski well and not doing it.”
