Focus Features has revealed the trailer for Come Play, the Amblin horror movie coming to theaters on October 30, 2020. The movie is based on Jacob Chase’s short Larry, which you can also watch below.
The film was directed and written by Chase (Stranger in the House). The producers include Andrew Rona and Alex Heineman.

In Come Play, newcomer Azhy Robertson stars as Oliver, a lonely young boy who feels different from everyone else. Desperate for a friend, he seeks solace and refuge in his ever-present cell phone and tablet.
When a mysterious creature uses Oliver’s devices against him to break into our world, Oliver’s parents (Gillian Jacobs and John Gallagher Jr.) must fight to save their son from the monster beyond the screen.

The cast also includes Winslow Fegley. The movie is produced by The Picture Company for Amblin Partners.
The film’s crew includes cinematographer Maxime Alexandre, production designer David J. Bomba, costume designer Marcia Scott, editor Gregory Plotkin, and composer Roque Baños.
