Larissa Manoela and Erasmo Carlos Start Filming Netflix’s Airplane Mode

Netflix has announced the start of production of the Brazilian original movie Airplane Mode, starring Erasmo Carlos and Larissa Manoela.

Airplane Mode tells the story of young Ana (Larissa Manoela), who studied fashion design dreaming of becoming a great stylist. But she dropped everything to become digital influencer of a famous brand called True Fashion, led by executive Carola (Katiuscia Canoro).

Ana spends so much time posting pictures and videos to promote the brand that she won’t put away her cell phone even when driving. One day, she has a car accident and, from that moment on, the young lady is forced to get away from social media. Ana ends up in the farm of her grandfather Germano (Erasmo Carlos), in the countryside, where she has to go through a digital detox.

There, Ana will help grandpa to fix his old Mustang together with João (André Frambach) and his mother Antônia (Dani Ornellas), who own a mechanical workshop in the region. During that time in the countryside, Ana will find out stories about her family and initiate a journey of self-knowledge.

Based on a script by Alberto Bremmer, the Brazilian adaptation Airplane Mode is written by Renato Fagundes (Os Penetras 2, Vai que Cola – O Começo) and Alice Name-Bomtempo (Vai que Cola – série). Directed by César Rodrigues (Vai que Cola – O Filme, Minha Mãe é um Peça 2), the film is produced by Luiz Noronha (A Fábrica).
