With the release date for the 25th James Bond movie being pushed back from November 8, 2019 to February 14, 2020, a different kind of spy sequel has taken its spot. 20th Century Fox has set a November 8, 2019 release date for the third Kingsman movie!
Matthew Vaughn is returning to write and direct the new, untitled Kingsman movie. He has previously said that it will be the conclusion of the Harry Hart-Eggsy relationship.
Kingsman: The Secret Service introduced the world to Kingsman in 2014. In 2017’s Kingsman: The Golden Circle, our heroes face a new challenge when their headquarters is destroyed and the world is held hostage. Their journey leads them to the discovery of an allied spy organization in the US called Statesman, and these two elite, secret organizations band together to defeat a ruthless common enemy in order to save the world.
The Secret Service cost $81 million to make and grossed $414.4 million worldwide, while The Golden Circle cost $104 million and earned $410.9 million globally.
A spin-off movie, titled Kingsman: The Great Game, is also in the works and will explore the spy organization in the early 1900s. Also on the way will be an eight-hour Kingsman TV show, and a Statesman film following the world of Channing Tatum, Jeff Bridges and Halle Berry’s American agents.
