The world’s most epic modern myth comes alive on Broadway through an innovative mix of animatronics, puppetry, music and stagecraft. The King Kong Broadway show follows the ambitious young actress Ann Darrow and maverick filmmaker Carl Denham (Eric William Morris) as they voyage from the bustling streets of 1930s New York to an uncharted island to capture the world’s greatest wonder.

At the center of this 21st-century theatrical reimagining: a 20-foot high, 2,000-pound gorilla and the woman who risks everything to help him.

Directed and choreographed by Olivier winner Drew McOnie, King Kong features an electrifying new score by Marius de Vries (La La Land) and Eddie Perfect (Beetlejuice The Musical), and a book by Jack Thorne, the Tony and Olivier Award-winning writer of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

Creature designer Sonny Tilders developed Kong for the show, bringing together the worlds of animatronics and puppetry that has never been seen on stage before. Tilders was honored by the Helpmann Awards, Australia’s highest theatrical honor, for Outstanding Theatrical Achievement.

The King Kong show will play at the Shubert Organization’s Broadway Theatre. To get a hold of tickets, check out the official site.
