Kevin Feige Says There's No Plans Past Disney's Acquisition of Fox

With the Disney acquisition of 21st Century Fox coming closer and closer (the Department of Justice has cleared the acquisition and Fox shareholders will vote on it at the end of the month), one would think that Marvel Studios is already looking at what they can do with properties such as X-MenFantastic Four, and Deadpool once they come home.

Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, says that’s not the case yet, however. Talking to the Los Angeles Daily News, Feige insists they are waiting until it’s a done deal. “Not until we’re given the word,” he said. “I have vague dreams and vague ideas. But right now, bringing to life the 10,000-plus characters that Marvel fully controls is what the gameplan is.”

In the interview from last week, he added that they have just launched Ant-Man and The Wasp. “Then complete filming on Captain Marvel this week (they are now done) and to get the next Spider-Man on camera, then to continue to work on Avengers 4 in the cutting room.”

Disney and Fox previously announced an amended acquisition agreement pursuant to which Disney will acquire Fox for $38 per share in cash and stock (which equals $71.3 billion), immediately following the spin-off of the businesses comprising “New Fox” as previously announced.

What kind of projects do you hope will happen after Disney buys 21st Century Fox?
