A stormy night didn’t stop A Quiet Place Part II director John Krasinski from surprising fans at the Regal Edwards Marq*E theater in Houston, Texas on the film’s opening day. And this was just a day after he had done the same in Los Angeles.
In fact, John Krasinski has been welcoming back fans to movie theaters for a week and also made stops in Miami, Cleveland, and New York so far.

A Quiet Place Part II began playing in theaters, Dolby Cinema and IMAX last night and should easily take first place at the box office over the four-day Memorial Day weekend.
Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence.
Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.
A Quiet Place Part II is written and directed by John Krasinski, and based on characters created by Bryan Woods & Scott Beck. The sequel also stars Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou.
The producers are Michael Bay, Andrew Form, Brad Fuller, John Krasinski, with Allyson Seeger, Joann Perritano, Aaron Janus executive producing. A Quiet Place Part II has been rated PG-13 for terror, violence and bloody/disturbing images.
Paramount is also moving forward with A Quiet Place 3 and has hired Jeff Nichols to write and direct the sequel. A Quiet Place 3 will be based on an original idea by John Krasinski. Nichols’ film credits include Take Shelter (2011), Mud (2012), Midnight Special (2016) and Loving (2016).
The studio is targeting a 2022 release for the third installment, which may broaden the world that the original introduced.
Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller will produce A Quiet Place 3 via Platinum Dunes alongside Krasinski via his Sunday Night banner with partner Allyson Seeger, who serves as executive producer.
A Quiet Place (buy at Amazon) opened in April 2018 and grossed an impressive $340.9 million worldwide on a budget of just $17 million. $188 million of the total came from domestic theaters and international markets brought in $152.9 million.
