Jangly Man Poster Revealed for Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark

-

CBS Films and Lionsgate debuted the Jangly Man poster for Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark today at the San Diego Comic-Con and you can view it in the gallery below. Let us know what you think about the Jangly Man in the comments!

It’s 1968 in America. Change is blowing in the wind… but seemingly far removed from the unrest in the cities is the small town of Mill Valley where for generations, the shadow of the Bellows family has loomed large. It is in their mansion on the edge of town that Sarah, a young girl with horrible secrets, turned her tortured life into a series of scary stories, written in a book that has transcended time—stories that have a way of becoming all too real for a group of teenagers who discover Sarah’s terrifying home.

Inspired by one of the most terrifying book series of all time, the Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark cast includes Zoe Colletti, Michael Garza, Gabriel Rush, Austin Abrams, Dean Norris, Gil Bellows, Lorraine Toussaint, Austin Zajur, and Natalie Ganzhorn.

The August 9 release is directed by André Øvredal (The Autopsy of Jane Doe, Trollhunter). Kevin Hageman and Dan Hageman (The LEGO Movie, Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia) co-wrote the screenplay with Academy Award winner Guillermo del Toro from the bestselling trilogy of books by Alvin Schwartz.

The film is produced by Guillermo del Toro as well as Sean Daniel and Jason Brown of Hivemind along with Academy Award winner J. Miles Dale and Elizabeth Grave.
