Jamie Lee Curtis has shared the first video from the Halloween Kills set! In her Halloween post, which you can view below, she says: “‘Tis the season….. to start screaming. First look at the mayhem David has created for all of you.”
Universal previously announced that the two Halloween sequels will be shot back-to-back, with Halloween Kills coming to theaters on October 16, 2020 and Halloween Ends following on Friday, October 15, 2021.
Halloween, starring Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode and directed by David Gordon Green, went on to become the highest-grossing installment in the classic horror franchise at more than $250 million worldwide. The two new films are in development at Trancas International Films, Miramax and Blumhouse Productions.
Halloween Kills is written by David Gordon Green & Danny McBride & Scott Teems, based on characters created by John Carpenter and Debra Hill. The film will be directed by David Gordon Green and produced by Malek Akkad, Jason Blum and Bill Block. John Carpenter, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jeanette Volturno, Couper Samuelson, Danny McBride, David Gordon Green and Ryan Freimann are executive producers. Ryan Turek is overseeing the project for Blumhouse.
