J.B. Smoove Joins the Spider-Man: Far From Home Cast

Curb Your Enthusiasm star J.B. Smoove has joined the Spider-Man: Far From Home cast, according to Deadline. The site notes that it is unknown which character he will play, but it is said to be a lead role.

Filming is currently taking place in London for Spider-Man: Far From Home! Tom Holland was recently spotted shooting scenes for the sequel. The July 5, 2019 release will take Peter Parker to Europe.

Jake Gyllenhaal is set to play the villain Mysterio in Spider-Man: Far From Home and Michael Keaton will reportedly reprise the role of The Vulture from the first film as well.

Spider-Man: Homecoming opened on in July of 2017 and grossed $880 million worldwide, with $334.2 million coming from North America and $545.9 million from overseas markets. It was directed by Jon Watts, who will again helm the sequel, and also stars Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, Marisa Tomei, and Robert Downey Jr.
