Game of Thrones’ Iain Glen to Play Bruce Wayne on Titans Season 2

-

Titans‘ first season finale, “Dick Grayson,” featured a guest appearance by none other than the Batman himself. The episode didn’t show viewers the man behind the mask, but all that changes now as its been announced that the billionaire playboy crimefighter Bruce Wayne will be played by Game of Thrones actor Iain Glen.

The Scottish star, a graduate of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, has won awards and acclaim for his Shakespearean theater work. But he’s best known to genre fans for his role as Ser Jorah Mormont in the HBO‘s Game of Thrones. Glen has also appeared in the Resident Evil film series, Kick-Ass 2, and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, as well as in TV’s Downton Abbey.

This news follows the recent announcement that Joshua Orpin will play Superboy in the second season of DC Universe‘s Titans. In the after credits of the first season, a faceless Superboy was seen breaking out of Cadmus with Krypto.

From executive producers Akiva Goldsman (Star Trek: Discovery), Geoff Johns (Arrow), Greg Berlanti (The Flash), Greg Walker (Extant), Sarah Schechter (Supergirl) and John Fawcett (Orphan Black), Titans follows a group of young heroes from across the DC Universe as they come of age and find belonging in a gritty take on the classic Teen Titans franchise. Dick Grayson and Rachel Roth, a special young girl possessed by a strange darkness, get embroiled in a conspiracy that could bring Hell on Earth. Joining them along the way are the hot-headed Starfire and loveable Beast Boy. Together they become a surrogate family and team of heroes.

Titans stars Brenton Thwaites (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales) as Dick Grayson/Robin, Teagan Croft (Home and Away) as Raven, Anna Diop (24: Legacy) as Koriand’r/Starfire, Alan Ritchson (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) and Minka Kelly (Friday Night Lights) as Hawk and Dove, Bruno Bichir as Dr. Niles Caulder, and Lindsey Gort as Police Detective Amy Rohrbach.

Titans comes from Weed Road Pictures and Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.
