I Hate Suzie Trailer Revealed by HBO Max

HBO Max has revealed the official trailer for I Hate Suzie, which you can watch using the player below. The eight-part series will launch all episodes on HBO Max Thursday, November 19.

In the series, Suzie Pickles is a star on the wane who has her whole life upended when her phone is hacked and a photo of her in an extremely compromising position is released for the whole world to see.

This excruciatingly honest show follows the various stages of Suzie’s trauma episode by episode, through Shock, Denial, Fear, Shame, Bargaining, Guilt, Anger and Acceptance as Suzie and her best friend and manager Naomi try to hold her life, career, and marriage together in the face of being exposed for who she truly is.

But who the hell even is that? Naomi is played by Leila Farzad (Innocent, Twenty Twelve).

I Hate Suzie is co-created by BAFTA nominee Billie Piper (Collateral, Doctor Who), who also leads the cast, and by Emmy winner and critically-acclaimed writer of the series Lucy Prebble (Succession, Enron).

I Hate Suzie is a bold, bracing, original dramedy about the moment in life when the mask slips, asking if any of us can survive being well and truly ‘known’.

The cast also includes Daniel Ings (Lovesick, The Crown) and Nathaniel Martello-White (Collateral, Guerilla).

The series is produced by Bad Wolf Limited and commissioned by Sky Studios for Sky in the UK. Julie Gardner and Jane Tranter are the executive producers, alongside producer Andrea Dewsbery, all for Bad Wolf.

Liz Lewin executive produces for Sky Studios.
