Henry Golding Reveals First Official Snake Eyes Photo

Today is Henry Golding’s 32nd birthday and the actor is giving his fans a treat with the first official Snake Eyes photo that you can view below. In addition to the Snake Eyes photo, you can view more images from a recent Japan event in the gallery as well.

Paramount Pictures has scheduled an October 23, 2020 release for the film. The Skydance production is directed by Schwentke (Divergent films) from a script by Evan Spiliotopoulos.

Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Brian Goldner are producing. David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger are also executive producing.

We know so far that Henry Golding is playing Snake Eyes, Andrew Koji is Storm Shadow, Samara Weaving plays Scarlett, Úrsula Corberó portrays The Baroness, and Iko Uwais is Hard Master.

Snake Eyes will mark the third G.I. Joe film produced by Paramount Pictures. The first film, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, earned $302.5 million worldwide in 2009, while the second installment, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, grossed $375.7 million globally. Ray Park played Snake Eyes in both those films.

On the packaging of the original Hasbro toy, Snake Eyes was said to be proficient in 12 different unarmed fighting systems (Karate, Kung-Fu, Jujitsu) and highly skilled in the use of edged weapons. He had received extensive training in mountaineering, underwater demolitions, jungle, desert and arctic survival, and some form of holistic medicine. He was a qualified expert of all NATO and Warsaw pact small arms.

The mysterious character is one of the original and most popular members of the G.I. Joe Team, and is known for his relationships with Scarlett and Storm Shadow.

The Snake Eyes movie is said to center on the character seeking revenge for his father’s death by joining the Arashikage Clan, a ninja clan based in Japan.
