Halloween Kills Filming Wraps for an October 2020 Release

We got a video from the set last week on Halloween, and now it’s been announced that the Halloween Kills filming has wrapped. The news comes from Blumhouse Productions Director of Development Ryan Turek, who is also a co-producer on the new Halloween movies. Halloween Kills is the first of two sequels coming to theaters on October 16, 2020. The second, titled Halloween Ends, will follow on October 15, 2021.

Halloween, starring Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode and directed by David Gordon Green, went on to become the highest-grossing installment in the classic horror franchise at more than $250 million worldwide in 2018. The two new films come from Trancas International Films, Miramax and Blumhouse Productions.

Halloween Kills is written by David Gordon Green & Danny McBride & Scott Teems, based on characters created by John Carpenter and Debra Hill. The film is directed by David Gordon Green and produced by Malek Akkad, Jason Blum and Bill Block. John Carpenter, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jeanette Volturno, Couper Samuelson, Danny McBride, David Gordon Green and Ryan Freimann are executive producers. Ryan Turek is overseeing the project for Blumhouse.

Halloween Ends is written by David Gordon Green and Danny McBride, and Paul Brad Logan and Chris Bernier. The movie will be directed by David Gordon Green and produced by Malek Akkad, Jason Blum and Bill Block. John Carpenter, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jeanette Volturno, Couper Samuelson, Danny McBride, David Gordon Green and Ryan Freimann are executive producers. Ryan Turek is overseeing the project for Blumhouse.
