Hallea Jones, Brendan Hines & Aaron Ashmore Are Locke & Key Season 2 Regulars

Hallea Jones, Brendan Hines and Aaron Ashmore have joined Netflix‘s Locke & Key Season 2 as regulars, according to Deadline. The first season launched on Netflix on February 7, 2020.

Ashmore and Jones were featured on the first season of the series, and Hines will join as a new series regular. Locke and Key is the television adaptation of the best-selling comic book series by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez for IDW Comics.

In addition, The Boys‘s Liyou Abere will guest star. Production on Locke & Key Season 2 has begun in Toronto and is adhering to safety guidelines.

Jones will reprise the role of Eden Hawkins, who was the high school nemesis to Kinsey Locke (Emilia Jones). A big event at the end of the last season changed something in Eden that could have repercussions for the entire cast.

Ashmore plays Duncan Locke, the brother of Kinsey, Tyler (Connor Jessup) and Bode (Jackson Robert Scott)’s deceased father. His role is described this way by the site: “As a Locke family member with a history with the keys, Duncan helps guide the Lockes in their battle against Dodge.”

Hines will play Josh Bennett, “a charismatic and mysterious new history teacher at Matheson Academy with a secret agenda.”

In the first season, after their father is murdered under mysterious circumstances, the three Locke siblings and their mother move into their ancestral home, Keyhouse, which they discover is full of magical keys that may be connected to their father’s death.

As the Locke children explore the different keys and their unique powers, a mysterious demon awakens — and will stop at nothing to steal them.

In case you missed it, we recently got a chance to talk to Hallea Jones about playing Eden Hawkins. She said: “I’m really interested to see how Eden develops through the second season just because of what happens at the end. [laughs] There are a lot of things that can happen for Eden. Now it’s hard to bring humility to her, the down-to-earth part that I feel like she does possess, but she shies away from, because she might think that or feel that to be weakness in some way.”

Brendan Hines is known for his work on Suits, The Tick, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Covert Affairs.
