Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced the Ghostbusters Afterlife Digital, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD release dates and details. You can view all the bonus features below and you can pre-order here.
The movie, which has grossed $176.9 million at the worldwide box office, will be available on Digital January 4, 2022 and then will hit 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD on February 1.
From director Jason Reitman and producer Ivan Reitman comes the next chapter in the original Ghostbusters universe. The film is written by Gil Kenan and Jason Reitman.
In Ghostbusters Afterlife, when a single mom and her two kids arrive in a small town, they begin to discover their connection to the original Ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather, an original Ghostbuster, left behind.
Also available on February 1 is the Ghostbusters Ultimate Collection 4K Ultra HD Set (pre-order at Amazon). The set includes Ghostbusters, Ghostbusters II and Ghostbusters: Afterlife on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray, plus two discs full of special features.
The set also includes over 20 hours of rare behind-the-scenes and must-see archival gems, including the full Preview Cut of the original movie and more. Presented in collectible “ghost trap” packaging with lights, and including a full 220-page reprint of the rare 1985 Making Ghostbusters boo, the collection also features digital versions of the three above-mentioned movies and Ghostbusters: Answer the Call.
