Sony Pictures has revealed the first Ghostbusters: Afterlife clip which features Paul Rudd (who celebrated his 52nd birthday yesterday!) encountering Mini-Pufts! You can watch the Ghostbusters: Afterlife clip using the player below.

Mini-Pufts are actually not something new to the Ghostbusters franchise, as they made an appearance in the one-shot comic book Ghostbusters: Deviations from IDW Publishing.
Set in an alternate timeline in which the Ghostbusters did not cross streams, the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man has taken over New York City 31 days later. In that story, the Mini-Pufts excreted by the Marshmallow Man are a problem for the Ghostbusters.

With Paul Rudd also co-owning Samuel’s Sweet Shop in Rhinebeck, New York, could we be seeing the Mini-Pufts going on sale there soon? Maybe a less animated version that would cause less havoc.
From director Jason Reitman and producer Ivan Reitman comes the next chapter in the original Ghostbusters universe.

In Ghostbusters: Afterlife, when a single mom and her two kids arrive in a small town, they begin to discover their connection to the original ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind.
The anticipated film has been scheduled for a release in theaters on November 11, 2021.

The movie stars Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, and Paul Rudd. Coon plays a mom named Callie, with Grace as her science-obsessed daughter Phoebe, and Wolfhard as gearhead son Trevor.
Phoebe and Trevor’s school teacher, Mr. Grooberson (played by Rudd), was a kid when the Manhattan Crossrip occurred and is excited to pass on what he knows.

It was previously revealed that Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson will return as Ghostbusters Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, and Winston Zeddemore. Coming back as well are Sigourney Weaver as Dana Barrett and Annie Potts as Janine Melnitz.
The film is written by Jason Reitman & Gil Kenan. It is produced by Ivan Reitman and executive produced by Dan Aykroyd, Gil Kenan, Jason Blumenfeld, and Michael Beugg. The movie is based on the 1984 film Ghostbusters, an Ivan Reitman film written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis.
