Four New Enola Holmes Posters Released by Netflix

Netflix has just released some new Enola Holmes posters, which you can check out below. The Enola Holmes posters feature Millie Bobby Brown, Sam Claflin, Henry Cavill, and Helena Bonham Carter.

The movie, which will be available on September 23, is based on the Edgar Award-nominated book series The Enola Holmes Mysteries.

The book series, which began with The Case of the Missing Marquess in 2006, is comprised of six books in total. The first and fifth books in the series were nominated for Edgar Awards in 2007 and 2010, respectively.

England, 1884 – a world on the brink of change. On the morning of her 16th birthday, Enola Holmes (Millie Bobby Brown) wakes to find that her mother (Helena Bonham Carter) has disappeared, leaving behind an odd assortment of gifts but no apparent clue as to where she’s gone or why. After a free-spirited childhood, Enola suddenly finds herself under the care of her brothers Sherlock (Henry Cavill) and Mycroft (Sam Claflin), both set on sending her away to a finishing school for “proper” young ladies.

Refusing to follow their wishes, Enola escapes to search for her mother in London. But when her journey finds her entangled in a mystery surrounding a young runaway Lord (Louis Partridge), Enola becomes a super-sleuth in her own right, outwitting her famous brother as she unravels a conspiracy that threatens to set back the course of history.

Based on the beloved book series by Nancy Springer, Enola Holmes is a dynamic new mystery-adventure that introduces the world’s greatest detective to his fiercest competition yet: his teenage sister. The game is afoot.

The cast includes Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things), Sam Claflin (The Hunger Games films, Me Before You), Adeel Akhtar (The Big SickLes Miserables), Fiona Shaw (Killing EveHarry Potter films), Frances de la Tour (Into the WoodsHarry Potter films), Louis Partridge (Medici), Burn Gorman (Pacific Rim), and Susan Wokoma (CrazyheadYear of the Rabbit).

Also featured are Henry Cavill (Mission: Impossible – FalloutMan of SteelThe Witcher), and two-time Oscar nominee Helena Bonham Carter (The CrownThe King’s SpeechThe Wings of the DoveHarry Potter films).

Henry Cavill plays Sherlock Holmes and Sam Claflin is the eldest of the Holmes siblings, Mycroft Holmes. Helena Bonham Carter stars as the Holmes clan’s enigmatic mother, Eudoria.

The Enola Holmes movie was directed by Emmy, BAFTA and Golden Globe winner Harry Bradbeer (FleabagKilling Eve) from a script by BAFTA and Tony Award winner Jack Thorne (Harry Potter and the Cursed ChildThe Aeronauts).

The producers include Legendary’s Mary Parent, Alex Garcia and Ali Mendes, as well as Millie Bobby Brown and Paige Brown through their PCMA Productions shingle. The executive producers are Legendary’s Joshua Grode; Michael Dreyer; and Harry Bradbeer.

The creative filmmaking team includes BAFTA-nominated director of photography Giles Nuttgens (Hell or High WaterCollette), Oscar-nominated production designer Michael Carlin (The DuchessCollette), editor Adam Bosman (Netflix’s The Crown), and three-time Oscar-nominated costume designer Consolata Boyle (Victoria & AbdulFlorence Foster JenkinsThe Queen).
