In the third season, one year after moving from Chicago to Paris for her dream job, Emily finds herself at a crucial crossroads in every aspect of her life.

Faced with two very different paths, Emily will have to decide exactly where her loyalties lie — at work and in her romantic life — and what those decisions mean for her future in France, all while continuing to immerse herself in the adventures and surprising twists and turns that life in Paris provides.

Netflix previously renewed the series for both a third and fourth season. The second season was released on December 22, 2022 and debuted on the Global Netflix Top 10.

The series topped the list across 94 countries with 107.6 million hours viewed (Dec 22 – 26). Season 1 also made the Global Top 10 reemerging on the list across 53 countries.

In the show, an ambitious marketing executive from Chicago unexpectedly lands her dream job in Paris when her company acquires a French luxury marketing company – and she is tasked with revamping their social media strategy.

Emily’s new life in Paris is filled with intoxicating adventures and surprising challenges as she juggles winning over her work colleagues, making friends, and navigating new romances.

In Season 2, now more entrenched in her life in Paris, Emily’s getting better at navigating the city but still struggling with the idiosyncrasies of French life.

After stumbling into a love triangle with her neighbor and her first real French friend, Emily is determined to focus on her work – which is getting more complicated by the day. In French class, she meets a fellow expat who both infuriates and intrigues her.

“As an actor, an artist, and a creative, the most meaningful gift is to connect with people through your art in some way. It’s an honor to be associated with a project that provided people with some much-needed relief during a trying time when everyone was looking for a reason to smile and laugh,” said Lily Collins.

“Not only did playing Emily teach me more about myself, but also about the world around me. I couldn’t be happier to be back in Paris for Season 2 to expand upon those lessons, to continue to grow, and learn even more about this beautiful city and all of its character with Emily.”

Darren Star added: “From the beginning we always wanted to create this beautiful cinematic view of Paris. The timing of the series release was fortuitous for us as everyone around the world was able to become armchair travelers and live vicariously through our cast.

“We could not be more proud and are excited to bring more joy to our fans as we start production on Season 2.”
